This guide assumes you have fastboot already installed and setup in your user path.  If not you can refer to the following link for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WARNING &#8211; THESE STEPS WILL DELETE ALL USER DATA OFF THE DEVICE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/developers.google.com\/android\/images#instructions\">https:\/\/developers.google.com\/android\/images#instructions<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Download OTA Image<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to the following link and download the Factory Image for your device<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/developers.google.com\/android\/images\">https:\/\/developers.google.com\/android\/images<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Extract the file and then open a terminal or command prompt in that directory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Boot up Pixel in recovery<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can do this with &#8220;adb reboot recovery&#8221; or with the volume key to boot into the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.incredigeek.com\/home\/android-boot-up-into-boot-menu\/\">Android boot menu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Flash Image<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On Windows you can flash the firmware with<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">flash-all.bat<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Or on Linux<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">.\/flash-all.sh<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Should take it a couple of minutes to complete.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next we can lock bootloader with<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>fastboot flashing lock<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>You will need to confirm the lock on your phone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Restoring a Pixel to the factory image is a pretty straight forward operation if you are familiar with fastboot and adb.
